Asus Eee 1005PE was the best value for me. It was a little more expensive that I wanted to pay, but the performance and features are worth it. Great screen, fast performance, excellent battery life.

Not too much bloatware installed, which keeps it running quick. Tech Support is accessable by phone or email. I am very happy with it so far, and would definately recommend it.

I have owned several notebooks in the past but this is my first netbook. It is everything I could need and more than I expected.

I did add more memory and upgrade the window 7 from starter. I travel for work and have also loaded MS Office pro and it works great.

The battery life is great, they can watch movies during a 4+ hour car trip no problem. For longer trips I just have them plug into an inverter.
